What started out as poetry and loud eccentric guitar licks is what made Kaymars the powerhouse of a musician she is today.

Also, a rockstar.

She first started creating art through poetry. Writing was much easier than talking about the things that were racing through her young mind. A few months  later she grabbed a guitar and started learning her favorite Red Hot Chili Peppers songs. She then began turning her poetry and guitar shenanigans into songs, and thus a rockstar was born.

Kaymars started learning how to play guitar at the age of 12, mainly through youtube and playing whatever the hell came to her fingers. Playing bass came naturally; she’s got a funk inside of her that she just can't deny. Heavily influenced by Flea and John Frusciante, who ignited her love for music.

The moment she heard Alabama Shakes is when her desire to sing came to life. Britany Howard’s soulful and powerful voice struck her; it moved her to learn how to sing, learning by watching countless live performances. Kaymars was and still is finding her voice by bringing her lyrics to life as she fuses her music and poetry.

At 21 years of life is when she finally started releasing her most personal and emotional songs she wrote years ago. Realizing that the only voice powerful enough to convey her passions is none other than, herself.

Kaymars set about writing her debut EP 'CATHARSIS' in her basement-turned-shitty-studio in 2019 with the help of some lovely friends. Later on she finally released her first single 'Catharsis' on October 2nd, 2020. All written and recorded from her tiny bedroom, with her good friend Patrick behind the mix & master, and production.

After much anticipation, months of recording, rewriting, recording, and a whole pandemic later,  'CATHARSIS' the EP, is finally out.

All songs written, produced, & performed by Kaymars.

Co-produced, mixed&mastered by Patrick Flores.

'Changes' co-written with Jaime Santiago.

New music is in the works, in the meantime you'll find her and her bandmates playing local shows.

"This guitar was given to me by someone who believed in me much more than I believed in myself at the time. I hope to play it someday on my sold-out world tour. The songs I write with it will take me there." - KAYMARS
